Look who's back. Bill World Championship Wrestling . com Under Attack From WWE
World Championship Wrestling . com is the subject of an apparent main event match between the WWE and Ray Mardo who is the owner of the domain name and has been well before WWE purchased World Championship Wrestling and their trademark rights.
Mardo made WWE aware of this fact and was willing to sign over the domain name, along with extreme championship wrestling . com, but when they presented him with a document accusing him of cybersquatting and several other unfounded crimes; he wouldn't sign it.
"This is the second time they (WWE) have contacted me about these two domain names," Mardo stated in a recent interview and continued with, "and strangely enough, they didn't even acknowledge that we've been through all of these initial proceedings before. This is a complete waste of time. They could have had both domain names well over a year ago if they didn't try to make me out to be a criminal, like I was trying to profit by selling the names to them or anyone. I never used the domain names to sell anything; and I never tried to sell them. I registered them well before WWE ever expressed any interest in buying WCW or ECW. Both companies were going bankrupt and had no interest in the domain names. I owned the domain names long before WWE purchased the companies, and once they did; I never pointed the domain names to a website. I only made the extreme championship wrestling website live after they accused me of lies, and it clearly stated that it was a fan site which didn't sell anything. It just provided information and asked fans for their opinions for the site."
